Has a definite “grocery store grape juice” taste. Otherwise, not much difference than an average red wine (coming from someone who prefers white).
Brew Stage: Completed
Must:
- 2*1.77L bottles Ocean Spray 100% Juice Blend Cranberry Concord Grape
- 500g sugar (microwaved with a bit of the cranberry juice at 30 second intervals until dissolved, stirring occasionally)
- 1/8 tsp Yeast Nutrients
- 2nd gen Yeast Slurry from Apple Wine (or 1/2 pkg Lalvin E-1118)
- 1 cup strong black tea
Has a definite "grocery store grape juice" taste. Fairly strong alcohol taste but otherwise tastes like your average red wine
This got surprisingly good results from a family tasting. Still not my favourite though so I probably won't be making again.
