This juice would make a kick-ass sparkling cider — next on the to-do list?
Brew Stage: Completed
Must:
- 2*1.89L bottles Ocean Spray Cran·Raspberry Juice
- 500g sugar (microwaved with a bit of the cranberry juice at 30 second intervals until dissolved, stirring occasionally)
- 1 mug strong black tea (~11oz, steeped for about 15 minutes)
- 2nd gen 71B yeast from previous batch (Cran·Cherry Wine)
This is pretty great. The raspberry flavour comes through quite a bit stronger than the pomegranate or cherry cocktails. There's just a hint of carbonation so I should have degassed better but it's enough to make me think this would make a great sparkling hard cider.

cleared - ready to bottle whenever
Bottled - made just over 5 bottles even though I spilled a fair amount. Didn't add any sweetener although that may have been a good idea.
