Brew Stage: Completed
Must:
- 2*1.89L bottles of Ocean Spray Cran·Tropical Juice
- approx. 440g sugar
- 1/2 pkg Lalvin 71B yeast
Note: Made a syrup with sugar and cranberry juice (1/2 cup juice for each 1 cup sugar) and added until target gravity was reached or the container was full
Additions:
- 1/2 tbsp yeast energizer after 6 weeks
- 1/2 cup slurry from another (complimentary) wine after ~8 weeks (optional, obviously)
This smells AMAZING but tastes a bit too spicy/carbonated right now. also a little watery.
Start Date
Moved to basement
Moved upstairs for warmer temperature
Added 1/2 tsp yeast energizer
Added slurry from lemon wine (maybe an ounce or two)
Found bug(s) in the airlock 🤮. Replaced sanitizer but may want to filter before bottling just in case
at 1.000 but still bubbling
no change - still bubbling, not clearing
less bubbles showing. Keeping in same container to clear.
gravity went down about 5 points in 3 months. still bubbling a little bit...
